Joe D’Silva is the Founder and CEO of Patients’ & Consumers’ Pharma based in Centerville, Ohio. He founded The Company in 2000 to originate and develop the discipline of mass-personalized pharmaceutical products and to serve the unmet medication administration needs of patients – both human and veterinary. The Company is presently developing its first patented invention – a technology that serves the therapeutic dosing needs of patients with swallowing disorders.
Joe’s professional career was spent in the pharmaceutical industry. From 1981 to 2000, Joe was employed in succession at the R&D divisions of Pfizer, Merck and Sanofi-Aventis. At the end of his tenure at Sanofi-Aventis, Joe was the Department Director for Formulation Development and led a team of twenty-four scientists.
Joe’s technical expertise is in the research, development and global commercialization of pharmaceutical products. He has been involved in and led the commercialization and successful launch of numerous products including Diflucan©, Zithromax©, Danofloxacin©, Fosamax©, Combipatch© and Nasacort©. He has had extensive experience in collaborating with manufacturing, medical and marketing groups and global regulatory organizations.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the Department of Chemical Technology, University of Bombay and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from The Ohio State University.
Mr. Sieron is the President and COO of Patient’s and Consumers’ Pharma joining the Company in 2015. Mr. Sieron has worked for a number of both publicly traded and private companies in his career.
Prior to joining P&C Pharma Mr. Sieron was President, CEO and member of the Board of Directors of DimcoGray Corporation. During his time at DimcoGray Mr. Sieron started a new division, DG Medical, dedicated to contract manufacturing of medical devices.
Prior to DimcoGray Mr. Sieron was VP of Sales and Marketing for AcuTemp, a thermal technology start-up company specializing in devices for cold chain transport and storage for pharmaceuticals, blood and blood products. He had operational responsibility for facilities in Dayton, OH, Poway, CA and Tijuana, Mexico.
Mr. Sieron’s professional background also includes many years with a unit of Thermo Electron (now Thermo Fisher Scientific) where he was the VP of Sales and Marketing and had operating responsibility for 4 of the 5 strategic business units with facilities in Middletown, OH, Mobile, AL, and Rayville, LA.
He has also held positions at the Swedish company Sunds Defibrator (now Metso) and at the Mead Corporation (now MeadWestvaco).
Mr. Sieron professional accomplishments include sitting on various Boards of Directors in fiduciary and advisory capacities, successfully executing several acquisitions, setting up various global sales networks and being awarded numerous patents.
Mr. Sieron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business from the University of Cincinnati. He has continued his education with executive education courses in finance, management, etc from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and Xavier University.
